Music Video LR
1) Type up your teacher's feedback in full plus a summary of the comments you received from other students in the class.
WWW:
- Excellent drone shots; high angle
- Post production after effects
- On screen graphics; Japanese lyrics
- Cross-cutting
- Opening shot/establishing shot
- Whip pan; camera movements
- Branding + promotion
- Edits
- Cinematic zoom out
EBI:
- Resolution of export
- Shorter + tighter
- Drawing more distinct
- More detailed locations + shots
The comments agreed with the WWW; however the most common EBI was the fact that my music video was way too long for the brief.
2) Using a combination of your own reflection on the preliminary exercise and the feedback you were given, write three WWW bullet points and three EBI bullet points for your work.
WWW:
- Great shots
- Post production and editing
- Props and graphics
EBI:
- Length
- More varied locations
- Different actions other than walking
3) How effectively did you complete the objective you laid out in your mini preliminary exercise statement of intent?
I think I did quite well however I overachieved slightly by making it longer than what I was supposed to.
4) What have you learned from the preliminary exercise that will help you in the actual coursework project?
I have learned editing tricks and shots that could make my production stand out more and look professional.
5) Now you have completed the preliminary exercise, will you change anything about your actual coursework video plan? This could include your concept, cast/actors or technical elements such as mise-en-scene, camerawork or editing.
Yes - I will try different music and also try different shots and locations in an effort to stand out and make my coursework feel a lot more lively and professional.
