Mise-en-scene Recreation

PLANNING
Costume - I will wear a white and black t-shirt to match Jason's outfit.

Lighting - The scene will take place at night in my kitchen, dimly lit.

Actors - My character would not move around so much. They would be near the kitchen counter, on a phone call. Their expression would change quickly to concern once they realise that their friend is not on the call.

Make-up and hair - I won't need to do much make-up. I don't know if I could exactly fully match my hair to be exactly like Jason's.

Props - My phone will be the primary prop my character is holding. He will pick it up when he notices it is ringing.

Setting - My scene will take place inside of a kitchen.

SCRIPT
BLACKMORE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS - DORMITORY ROOMS  1

Jason places his phone down at the kitchen counter and then goes
to the fridge to find something to eat. As he opens the door, he notices his phone start to ring as he gets a call from his friend and roommate Greg. Preparing for the worst, he mentally prepares himself to pick up the call and then confess to him about his most recent murder: his own teacher.

JASON
I'm sorry, okay I-- I just got major bloodlust and I HAD to practice.
Please don't be mad...?
How mad are you?

GHOSTFACE
Oh. I'm not mad, Jason.

JASON
Dude. You said we wouldn't use the voice on each other.

GHOSTFACE
You said a lot of things.

JASON
(confused, checks phone) This is... Greg right?

GHOSTFACE
(chuckle) Who else would it be...?

100 WORD EXPLAINATION

In my recreation of the Scream 6 opening scene, I had tried to recreate the exact camera shots/angles present in the original scene. I had also tried to mimic where the actor was in the original scene too. The original actor had a black and grey shirt, so I wore one so I could look similar to the original costume/outfit the original actor was wearing. Additionally, I had extracted the dialogue and music from the original scene and put it in my recreation, making sure to have my own voice present. I had filmed during the night and also filmed in a kitchen, like the original scene called for.
