Clueless Film Review

Clueless is a great comfort movie that you can reliably put on and enjoy. The movie, while seeming quite generic and "by the books" compared to the rest of the genre, subverts audience expectations and isn't as predictable as one would think. For example, I thought the main character was your run of the mill entitled teenager, similar to that of "Mean Girls"; however I was surprised with what happened in the movie regarding the character and her actions - not everything was entirely different to other movies of the genre but it tries to do something different every so often with its characters and I respect that and enjoy the film for that reason. Additionally, the shots of the city and houses looked stunning and only helped to convey the vibe even more. In short, Clueless is an enjoyable coming of age film that initially seems very generic at first, but is anything but; and is quite a good film for that reason. The narrative is quite simple and easy to follow for audiences but will still leave you guessing on what happens next.
