Cinematography Practical LR
1) Type up your feedback/comments from your teacher.
WWW
- Use of parallel sound: audio matches actions
- Accurate labelling
- Variety of shots
- Well sequenced
- Original concept
- Excellent storyboarding
- Good narrative and/or storytelling
- Good use of software + movement
EBI
- Use more sound effects
- Try film project next time
2) Type up your feedback from fellow students.
For my feedback, a lot of people have expressed that my video is quite creative and/or unique, and that I used a wide range of shots. Some people have also pointed out the comedy and/or storytelling too. People also liked the animation. Next time, I should use a camera and also add more engaging sound effects.
3) Now reflect on your work and write your own summary of the comments and feedback you have received. Write three WWWs and three EBIs.
I believe I have demonstrated cinematography well despite the limitations/challenges I had to face while making it. I believe I could've done better if I had filmed it, which some people expressed.
My personal WWWs and EBIs are:
WWW
- Good range of camera shots
- Good storytelling
- Entertaining
EBI
- Use a camera next time
- Add more sound effects
- Refine my shots and/or pacing
4) Learner response: think about what you learned about cinematography making the video and also watching others. What will you do differently when you start the coursework in the summer? What tips or tricks have you learned from others that you can use next time? Are there any specific aspects of camerawork that you need to revise or practice?
I think I have learnt a lot more information about cinematography, despite not filming anything. Watching other people's videos was entertaining and gave me ideas on what to do for my own projects in the future. In the summer, I'm going to try a more entertaining video, as entertaining as I can possibly make it.
